Please recall both in the beginning of the film and in the book. Henry Wu says that in some cases, during dna replication, geneticists had to use rana (frog) dna to complete the sequence. now frogs only see moving objects and if some of the genes passed on to the rex, one of the features that is complimentary with frogs may be this sight feature. hope i satisfied anyone who was concerned about this idea. well then.
