Version history
When JPdb first began to evolve it relied on many technologies to break it alive. As of right now JPdb is coded using PHP-Hypertext Lanuage and and SQL database for the majority of the content. Most of the coding was done by the webmaster, Jon. The engine that Jon has designed is known as Palmitic. The name itself has no special meaning, but it’s a relatively small engine that controls most of what JPdb actually is.
What else does JPdb use?
Integrated into Palmitic are a variety of free tools, which make JPdb possible. Here is the list of tools we use on this site (listed in no particular order):
- WordPress (http://www.jpdatabase.net/)
- PHPgraphy
- Invision Board (http://www.jpdatabase.com/)
- Adobe Audition
- Adobe Photoshop CS
- Gordian Knot
- Xvid codec
- and a wonderful staff!
